World Book Day 2021

Posted on: 18/03/2021
Humphry Davy School celebrated ‘World Book Day’ in a slightly different ‘lock down’ way this year!

Asked to dress as their favourite ‘Literary Hero’, students took part in fun activities throughout the day which could be enjoyed either at school or at home. Staff also joined in the fun, dressing up as their favourite characters.

A particularly popular ‘Masked Reader Competition’ attracted the most attention, with students watching a video of staff members, turned into animated characters, and reading their favourite book.  The students then took on the challenge of guessing who was behind the mask and what book they were reading from!  Everyone who took part had so much fun and it was certainly more difficult than you would think!

A big ‘thank you’ to all of those who took part and made it such an enjoyable and successful day!
