Geography Fieldwork

Posted on: 18/10/2023

Year 10 Geographers visited St. Ives for their GCSE Human fieldwork, investigating whether Wharf Road should be permanently pedestrianised.

Throughout the day students had to use a variety of data collection methods, including: traffic counts, pedestrian counts, a land use survey and a questionnaire. All of this data will help students to prove or disprove their hypothesis about pedestrianising Wharf Road. This work will now be used in school through data presentation and analysis; allowing students to reach conclusions and evaluate the effectiveness of their enquiry. Data which will be vital in their exam.

Well done Year 10!
