Year 7 Get Their Hands Dirty!

Posted on: 25/05/2021
As part of their Science lessons, Year 7 students have been busy rolling up their sleeves and putting their energy into some digging and planting in the school allotment this term.

They’ve been developing a range of useful skills whilst having a brilliant time learning about how plants grow and where our food comes from.

So far, they’ve helped to grow and plant tomatoes, carrots, beetroot, peas, beans, pumpkins, courgettes, sweet peas and
sunflowers!

Although the weather has been against them at times, they’ve shown endless enthusiasm and are looking forward to being able to harvest -and eat- the fruits of their labours.

Keep up the fantastic work Year 7!  We look forward to watching your plants grow and seeing the outcomes.
