Start of Term Information 2019

Information for Year 7’s: September 2019

 

I hope you have all had a great summer break and are looking forward to starting at Humphry Davy School. 

 

Just a few things to help ensure a smooth start to term:

Term starts on Monday 9^th September and Year 7 will enter through the main gate (nearest reception)

You will be shown to your house area for a house assembly.  House areas are as follows:

• Gallery                  MEDRA
• Sports Hall           LONGYA
• Sports Hall           AWENI
• Gym                      TEVI
• Drama Hall          SOWENA
• The Studio          KEMENETH
• Assembly will start at 8.40am.

 

Lockers – if you would like a locker, please remember to bring in a padlock.  Your mentor will show you where the lockers are located.

 

Lunchtime – the restaurant is ‘cashless’ and does not accept money.  You will be given your pin code on the first day, and you can then use your pin code to put cash  into your account using the top up machine in school, or parents/carers can add money through parentmail.  For the first day of term we will provide Year 7 students with a free school meal.

Information for Years 8 - 11: September 2019

 

Please enter school on the first day (Monday 9^th September) through the new ‘Student Entrance’, located opposite the skate park and next to the old student entrance.  You will have a House Assembly at 8.45am in the following areas:

• Sports Hall           LONGYA
• Sports Hall           AWENI
• Gym                      TEVI
• Drama Hall          SOWENA
• The Studio          KEMENETH
