Students Tackle the Silver!

Posted on: 23/09/2019

On a bright, sunny morning eight intrepid explorers crammed themselves into a minibus and headed for the wilds of Bodmin Moor.

Upon arrival at Davidstow Airfield the gentle autumn breeze was quickly replaced by a blustery westerly as the teams set off for their Silver Expedition in, what was to become, torrential rain conditions. Spirits, though, could not be dampened and the sense of determination and superb teamwork within both groups enabled them to overcome all the obstacles and landscape before them.

The third and final day started grey and showery but by the time everyone was kitted up, the sun decided to put in an appearance, giving the group renewed vigour. Making it over the final tor, past Hurlers stone circles, the group were soon in the arms of families and friends. They had beaten the Moor and everything it could throw at them. Well done everyone!
