Georgia Boulton GCSE Photography
Georgia Boulton’s 'Falling Girl' uses heavily textured hessian as a backdrop on to which she paints cloud formations rolled in acrylic. The shot here of Penzance harbour is grey scaled and given increased contrast before being printed and cut manually from its background. The falling girl was shot in the studio at school. Posing on a platform so the hair and draped clothes are shown dangling, Georgia grey scales and then manually cuts the image. Georgia goes on to re-photograph and process the work using Lightroom to cluster the black pixels and make the colours more vibrant.
